GigaPan
GigaPan is a technology that allows the creation of extremely detailed panoramic images by stitching together many smaller photos taken sequentially. Using a special camera mount or robotic system, a photographer captures numerous high-resolution pictures, which are then combined into a single, ultra-zoomable image. This enables viewers to explore the scene in great detail, zooming in to see fine elements without losing image quality. GigaPan is used in fields like geography, archaeology, and journalism for immersive, informative visual storytelling and analysis.
