Gibbons

Gibbons are small apes known for their agility and loud, melodious calls. They live in the forests of Southeast Asia and are highly skilled at swinging through trees using their long arms and grasping hands. Gibbons are social animals, usually forming monogamous pairs with their offspring. They primarily eat fruit, leaves, and insects. Their agility and vocalizations help them communicate and defend territory. Gibbons are important to their ecosystems as seed dispersers and indicators of forest health. Due to habitat loss and hunting, many gibbon species are threatened or endangered.
