GHTF
The Global Harmonization Task Force (GHTF) was an international organization aimed at developing common standards and regulations for medical devices. Its goal was to improve patient safety and facilitate international trade by creating consistent rules across countries. GHTF brought together regulators and industry representatives to share best practices and streamline approval processes. Although it officially disbanded in 2012, its work laid the foundation for ongoing efforts in global medical device harmonization, such as the International Medical Device Regulators Forum (IMDRF).
