Image for Ghost Pixel

Ghost Pixel

A ghost pixel is an unintended pixel in digital images or displays that appears due to manufacturing imperfections, noise, or signal interference. It may show as a stuck or dead pixel, or as a faint, miscolored dot that seems to flicker or linger without reason. These pixels are called "ghost" because they often seem to appear and disappear or are barely visible, unlike normal pixels, which form the intended image. While usually minor, ghost pixels can affect image quality, especially on high-resolution screens or detailed photographs. They are often fixable through software or hardware solutions, or sometimes require professional repair.
