Ghetto revolts
Ghetto revolts are uprisings or protests by residents of impoverished urban neighborhoods, often called ghettos, against oppressive conditions, discrimination, or injustices they face. These revolts can involve protests, riots, or acts of resistance aimed at drawing attention to social and economic inequities. They are typically rooted in frustration over poverty, lack of opportunity, police brutality, or systemic inequality. While sometimes spontaneous, they can also be organized efforts seeking to challenge unfair treatment or demand change within marginalized communities.
