GEV (Ground Effect Vehicle)
A Ground Effect Vehicle (GEV), also known as an ekranoplane, is a craft that travels close to the surface of the water or land, harnessing a phenomenon called ground effect. When flying near the surface, the vehicle experiences increased lift and reduced drag, allowing it to move efficiently at high speeds with less power. GEVs are designed to take advantage of this aerodynamic advantage, making them faster and more fuel-efficient than traditional boats or aircraft, especially over calm waters. They are used for military, transportation, and research purposes, blending characteristics of ships and airplanes.
