Germanische Lloyd
Germanischer Lloyd was a globally recognized classification society, established in Germany, specializing in the certification and inspection of ships, offshore structures, and maritime equipment. Its role involved ensuring these vessels and systems met rigorous safety, quality, and environmental standards through detailed assessments, testing, and certification processes. By doing so, it helped promote maritime safety, reliability, and compliance with international regulations. In 2018, Germanischer Lloyd merged with Lloyd’s Register, forming Lloyd’s Register Group, continuing its mission under the new organization to support maritime and offshore industries worldwide.
