Geospatial Intelligence Standards Working Group
The Geospatial Intelligence Standards Working Group is a collaborative organization that develops, agrees upon, and promotes common standards for collecting, analyzing, and sharing geographic information. These standards ensure that different agencies and systems can effectively communicate and work together using consistent map data, imagery, and spatial analysis methods. By doing so, they enhance the accuracy, interoperability, and security of geospatial intelligence used in national security, disaster response, and other critical applications. Essentially, they create a shared language and framework so diverse organizations can efficiently collaborate using geographic information.
