Geoscientists

Geoscientists are scientists who study Earth's materials, processes, and history. They analyze rocks, minerals, fossils, and Earth's physical features to understand how the planet formed, how its surface changes over time, and how natural resources like water, minerals, and fossil fuels are distributed. Their work helps us learn about natural hazards such as earthquakes and volcanoes, guides responsible resource management, and informs environmental protection. Geoscientists often combine field investigations, laboratory analysis, and data modeling to develop insights about Earth's past, present, and future.
