Georgian SSR
The Georgian Soviet Socialist Republic (Georgian SSR) was a part of the Soviet Union from 1921 to 1991. Located in the Caucasus region, it was one of the constituent republics, with Tbilisi as its capital. During this period, Georgia was under Soviet government control, experiencing industrialization and social changes, but also facing political repression and restrictions on independence. The Georgian SSR played a role in Soviet politics and economy, maintaining its unique culture and language even within the larger Soviet framework. It gained independence in 1991, following the USSR's dissolution, becoming the modern nation of Georgia.
