Georges-Louis Le Sage
Georges-Louis Le Sage was an 18th-century French physicist known for proposing a theory of gravity. He suggested that space is filled with tiny particles moving in all directions. These particles push objects apart, creating a force that pulls them together when they block each other’s particles. This interaction explains gravity without needing a new kind of force or invisible matter. Although his idea was innovative, it couldn't fully explain all gravitational behaviors, and modern physics now uses Einstein's theory of relativity. Still, Le Sage's work contributed to ongoing efforts to understand the nature of gravity.
