George Stibitz
George Stibitz was an American scientist known for his pioneering work in early computing. In 1937, he created one of the first digital computers, which used electrical circuits to perform calculations directly. His most famous project, the Model K, allowed remote communication with a computer over telephone lines—a concept similar to today’s networked computers. Stibitz's innovations helped lay the foundation for modern computers and the development of the internet. His contributions significantly advanced the understanding of how electronic devices can process and transmit information efficiently.
