Geological Processes

Geological processes are natural activities that shape Earth's surface over time. They include the movement of tectonic plates, which causes earthquakes and mountain formation; volcanic eruptions, which create new landforms; erosion from wind, water, and ice that wears down rocks; and sediment deposition, building up layers of soil and rock. These processes happen gradually or suddenly, continually changing Earth's landscape and influencing ecosystems and climate. Understanding these processes helps us appreciate how our planet evolves and prepares us for natural events like earthquakes and erosion.
