Geo-Information Systems
Geo-Information Systems (GIS) are tools that collect, analyze, and display geographic data—information related to locations on Earth's surface. By layering different types of data (like maps, satellite images, or demographic info), GIS enables us to understand spatial patterns, make informed decisions, and solve problems related to urban planning, disaster response, environmental management, and more. Essentially, GIS combines geography with technology to provide a visual and analytical way to explore complex spatial relationships.
