Genocide Scholars
Genocide scholars are researchers and experts who study the causes, processes, and consequences of genocide—the deliberate attempt to systematically destroy a particular group based on ethnicity, religion, or other identity factors. They analyze historical cases, develop theories to understand how and why genocides occur, and seek ways to prevent future atrocities. Their work involves interdisciplinary approaches, combining history, sociology, law, and political science, to better comprehend these tragedies, raise awareness, and inform policy to stop such mass killings before they happen.
