
Gennadius Scholarius
Gennadius Scholarius was a prominent 15th-century theologian and church leader who served as the Archbishop of Constantinople and later as the first diplomatic ambassador from the Ottoman Empire to the Vatican. Originally a scholar and bishop within the Eastern Orthodox Church, he became known for his influence in religious and political affairs during a period of significant change, including the fall of Constantinople.
