Genius Grants
Genius Grants, officially known as MacArthur Fellowships, are prestigious awards given by the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation. They recognize individuals who have shown exceptional creativity and potential in their respective fields, such as the arts, sciences, and social justice. Recipients, often referred to as "genius grantees," receive substantial financial support—often about $625,000—over a period of five years. The funding is intended to allow these individuals the freedom to pursue their innovative projects without the constraints of traditional funding sources or expectations.
