Generators

Generators are devices that convert mechanical energy into electrical energy. Think of them as large machines that generate electricity when they’re turned by an external force, like a turbine or engine. Inside, they use magnetic fields and coils of wire: when the mechanical force moves the magnetic field relative to the wire, it induces an electrical current. Generators are essential for producing power in power plants, providing electricity for homes, hospitals, and industries. They operate on principles of electromagnetic induction, ensuring a steady flow of electricity when driven by a prime mover, such as a steam turbine, diesel engine, or water flow.
