General Secretariat of the OAS
The General Secretariat of the Organization of American States (OAS) is the main administrative body responsible for implementing the policies and decisions made by the member states. Headed by the Secretary General, it provides technical assistance, promotes democratic values, and supports development and human rights across the member countries in the Americas. Essentially, it acts as the ongoing operational arm that helps coordinate efforts, facilitates communication, and ensures the organization functions smoothly in promoting peace, security, and cooperation among its member nations.
