General Joseph Dunford

General Joseph Dunford is a retired United States Marine Corps officer who served as the 19th Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, the highest military advisory position to the President and the Department of Defense, from 2015 to 2019. He oversaw joint military strategies and operations across all branches of the U.S. military, advising on national security policy. Prior to this, he held key leadership roles, including Commandant of the Marine Corps.
