GeneChip

A GeneChip is a laboratory tool used to study gene activity and identify specific DNA sequences quickly and accurately. It consists of a small chip embedded with many tiny spots containing DNA probes that match particular genes. When you apply a sample of DNA or RNA from a biological source to the chip, the matching sequences bind to these probes. This binding is detected using special dyes, revealing which genes are active and their levels of expression. GeneChips help scientists understand genetic information related to health, disease, and biological processes in a comprehensive and efficient manner.
