Gene delivery systems
Gene delivery systems are methods used to introduce new genetic material into a person's cells to treat or prevent disease. Think of them as delivery vehicles—like tiny ships—that carry healthy copies of genes, genetic instructions, or therapeutic DNA into target cells. These systems can use viruses that have been modified to safely carry genes, or non-viral methods such as nanoparticles, liposomes, or direct injection techniques. The goal is to ensure the genetic material reaches the right cells, enters them effectively, and produces the desired biological response, helping to correct genetic disorders or boost health.
