It doesn't necessarily mean they identify as a different gender, but rather that their way of expressing themselves is outside traditional norms. This can include anyone who embraces styles, behaviors, or identities that differ from stereotypical gender roles, reflecting a broader spectrum of gender diversity. The term promotes understanding that gender expression is personal and varied, and does not determine a person’s gender identity or worth.
