Gender minorities

Gender minorities are groups of people whose gender identity or expression differs from the most common societal expectations associated with their sex assigned at birth. This includes individuals who identify as transgender, non-binary, genderqueer, agender, or other identities outside the traditional male and female categories. Recognizing gender minorities highlights the diversity of gender experiences and promotes understanding and inclusion of those who don't conform to normative gender roles. They often face unique social, legal, and health challenges but are important members of society whose identities deserve respect and support.
