GCS (Ground Control Station)

A Ground Control Station (GCS) is a specialized command center used to monitor and operate unmanned aircraft or drones. It consists of computers, software, and communication systems that allow operators to send instructions, receive real-time data, and oversee the drone’s functions safely and effectively. The GCS ensures the drone performs its tasks—such as surveillance, mapping, or delivery—accurately while maintaining control and safety, especially when the drone is beyond the operator’s direct line of sight.
