Gaussian Distributions

A Gaussian distribution, also known as a normal distribution, is a common way to represent data that clusters around an average value. It has a bell-shaped curve where most data points are near the mean (average), and fewer are farther away. This pattern appears in many natural and social phenomena, like human heights or test scores. The spread of the data is described by the standard deviation; a small one means data is tightly clustered, while a large one indicates more variability. The Gaussian distribution helps us understand and predict the likelihood of different outcomes in many complex systems.
