Gause's Law
Gause's Law, also known as the Competitive Exclusion Principle, states that two species competing for the same limited resources cannot coexist indefinitely. If one species is slightly more efficient at using those resources, it will eventually outcompete and exclude the other, which may decline or be driven to extinction locally. Essentially, when two species have identical ecological niches, only one will persist over time, shaping how ecosystems develop and the diversity of species within them.
