GATE Scoring
GATE, or the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering, evaluates candidates for postgraduate programs and jobs in engineering and science. The scoring system is based on correct answers, with each question carrying specific marks. Wrong answers may incur a penalty. The total score is calculated by combining correct and incorrect responses to determine a candidate’s rank. This rank reflects their relative performance compared to others. GATE scores are valid for several years, serving as a crucial criterion for admissions and job opportunities in reputable institutions and companies.
