
GATE Exam Pattern
The GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) exam is a standardized test used for admissions to postgraduate programs and public sector jobs in India. It evaluates knowledge in engineering, science, and technology. The exam consists of multiple-choice questions (MCQs), numerical answer questions, and other formats, totaling 65 questions. It has a maximum score of 100 marks and is conducted over three hours. Subjects tested include core technical knowledge and, in some cases, General Knowledge or awareness of current affairs. The grading is based on a negative marking scheme for incorrect answers, emphasizing precision in responses.
