Gases

Gases are one of the states of matter, composed of tiny particles called molecules that move freely and rapidly in all directions. Unlike solids and liquids, gases have no fixed shape or volume, instead expanding to fill any container. Their particles are spaced far apart, which makes gases compressible and easily let them mix with other gases. This behavior explains phenomena like balloons expanding or air pressure. Gases are essential in many fields, from breathing and weather patterns to industrial processes, and their properties are described by principles like temperature, pressure, and volume.
