Garhwali language
Garhwali is an Indo-Aryan language spoken primarily in the Garhwal region of Uttarakhand, India. It has a rich oral tradition and is part of the Central Pahari group of languages. Garhwali features its own unique vocabulary, pronunciation, and grammatical structures, distinguishing it from Hindi and other regional languages. Although it has primarily been an oral language for centuries, efforts are underway to preserve and promote it through literature and cultural activities. While many Garhwali speakers are bilingual in Hindi, the language remains a vital part of local identity and cultural heritage.
