Garden Bridge

The Garden Bridge was a proposed pedestrian bridge in London designed to connect the city’s South Bank with the colorful Gardens at Queen Elizabeth Hall on the North Bank, featuring a landscaped, park-like walkway. Intended as a public space that combined transportation with green recreation, it aimed to enhance urban connectivity and provide a lush, walking environment amid the city’s busy areas. Although plans gained support from politicians and the public, the project was ultimately canceled in 2017 due to financial and logistical challenges. It serves as an example of ambitious urban planning aimed at blending infrastructure with green space.
