Gao Huan was a prominent Chinese general and politician during the early 6th century, known for founding the Eastern Wei Dynasty. He played a key role in unifying northern China after the fall of the Western Jin and Northern Wei dynasties. Gao Huan was a skilled military leader and strategist, consolidating power through both warfare and political influence. He served as regent for the puppet emperor, strengthening his control over the region. His leadership laid the groundwork for later developments in northern China during the period of division and transition before the rise of the Sui Dynasty.
