Ganzfeld experiment

The Ganzfeld experiment is a method used in parapsychology to test for extrasensory perception (ESP). It involves placing a person in a sensory-reduced environment—such as having them wear halved ping-pong balls over their eyes and play white noise—to minimize distractions. The participant tries to perceive information about a hidden target, like an image or video, that a sender holds in another room. The goal is to see if their perceptions are accurate beyond chance. While some studies report above-random results, scientific consensus remains cautious, as experimental challenges and replicability issues persist.
