Ganglioneuromas

Ganglioneuromas are rare, benign tumors that typically develop from nerve tissue, often found in the adrenal glands, sympathetic nerves, or other areas of the nervous system. They primarily affect children and young adults but can occur at any age. These tumors are composed of ganglion cells (nerve cells) and supportive tissue. Though they grow slowly and are usually not cancerous, they can cause symptoms by pressing on nearby organs or nerves. Treatment often involves surgical removal, and the prognosis is generally good, as they rarely return after being removed.
