Ganglion Cysts
Ganglion cysts are noncancerous, fluid-filled lumps that typically develop along tendons or joints, often in the wrist or hand. They occur when joint tissue or fluid leaks out and forms a benign swelling. These cysts are usually smooth, round, and movable under the skin. While many cause no symptoms, some may lead to discomfort, pain, or limit movement depending on their size and location. The exact cause isn’t always known, but they can sometimes resolve on their own or may require medical treatment such as aspiration or removal if persistent or problematic.
