Ganeshotsav

Ganeshotsav, also known as Ganesh Chaturthi, is a popular Hindu festival celebrating the birth of Lord Ganesha, the elephant-headed deity of wisdom, prosperity, and remover of obstacles. Typically observed in August or September, it involves installing elaborately crafted Ganesha idols in homes and public spaces. The festival includes prayers, cultural events, and communal festivities, culminating in the immersion of the idols in water. Ganeshotsav fosters social unity and spiritual reflection, emphasizing humility, devotion, and renewal. It is particularly prominent in Maharashtra but celebrated across India and by Hindu communities worldwide.
