Gamma-ray emissions

Gamma-ray emissions are high-energy electromagnetic waves produced when energetic processes occur in the universe, such as nuclear reactions in stars, the decay of radioactive elements, or cosmic events like supernovae and black hole activity. These rays are the most penetrating form of light, carrying vast amounts of energy. They can also result from particles colliding at near-light speeds. Because gamma rays have very short wavelengths, they reveal some of the most extreme and energetic phenomena in space, helping scientists understand the universe's most powerful and mysterious events.
