Gamma Function

The Gamma function is a mathematical tool that extends the concept of factorials beyond whole numbers to include real and complex numbers. For positive integers, the factorial (like 5! = 120) describes the product of all numbers from 1 up to that number. The Gamma function, written as Γ(n), agrees with factorials for whole numbers but also provides values for non-integer inputs, enabling calculations in advanced mathematics, physics, and engineering. It’s useful for solving problems involving continuous growth, probability distributions, and complex equations where traditional factorials don’t apply.
