Gamemaster
A Gamemaster, often called GM, is the person who manages and oversees a tabletop role-playing game. They create the story, set the scene, and control the game world and its inhabitants. The GM presents challenges, describes environments, and ensures the game runs smoothly. They also interpret rules, mediate player actions, and respond flexibly to unexpected choices. Essentially, the Gamemaster guides the game experience, balancing storytelling with gameplay mechanics, and helping players immerse themselves in a collaborative adventure. Their role is both narrative-driven and facilitative, ensuring an engaging and cohesive gaming experience for everyone involved.
