galvanoplasty
Galvanoplasty, also known as electroforming or electroplating, is a process where a metal coating is deposited onto a surface using an electric current. In this technique, a conductive object (the substrate) is immersed in a solution containing metal ions. When electric current flows, the metal ions are reduced and form a thin, uniform layer over the object. This process is often used to restore, enhance, or create detailed metal parts, jewelry, or sculptures. It allows precise application of metal and can produce durable, decorative finishes with fine detail, commonly utilized in manufacturing, restoration, and artistic creation.
