Galileo Orbiter
The Galileo Orbiter was a spacecraft launched by NASA in 1989 to study Jupiter and its moons. It traveled through space for six years, reaching Jupiter in 1995. Once there, it orbited the planet, sending back detailed images and data about Jupiter’s atmosphere, magnetic field, and its large moons like Ganymede and Europa. The mission helped scientists understand more about the giant planet’s environment and the potential for life on some of its moons. Galileo also studied Jupiter’s rings and its complex magnetic system, providing valuable insights into the dynamics of giant planets.
