Galactic Plane
The Galactic Plane is the dense, flat midsection of our galaxy, the Milky Way, where most of its stars, gas, and dust are concentrated. Imagine a vast, thin disk that spans the galaxy, with spiral arms branching out from the center. When viewed from Earth, the Galactic Plane appears as a bright band across the night sky. It represents the galaxy's thickest and most active region, where star formation is ongoing and many celestial objects are located. Overall, it is the central plane that defines the Galaxy’s structure and spatial distribution of its components.
