Gala Dalí was the wife and muse of the famous Spanish surrealist painter Salvador Dalí. Born María Evelyn de Rothschild, she was an art dealer’s daughter who became an influential figure in Dalí’s life and career. Their relationship was intense and inspiring; she supported his artistic pursuits and was a frequent subject in his work. Gala’s presence helped shape Dalí’s unique style and imaginative visions. Beyond his muse, she was also his wife, confidante, and artistic partner until her death in 1982. Her influence extended beyond their personal life to the development of surrealist art.
