GAF

GAF, or the Global Assessment of Functioning, is a tool used in mental health to rate an individual's overall level of functioning. It provides a score between 1 and 100 based on how well a person can cope with daily life, including social interactions, work, and self-care. The GAF helps clinicians assess the severity of mental health issues and track changes over time. A higher score indicates better functioning, while a lower score reflects more severe difficulties. It is often used in treatment planning and evaluating the effectiveness of interventions.
