Gaeilge (Irish Language)

Gaeilge, or Irish, is a Celtic language native to Ireland with ancient roots dating back over a thousand years. It is recognized as the first official language of Ireland and is part of the Goidelic branch of the Celtic language family, alongside Scottish Gaelic and Manx. Irish has its own unique grammar, pronunciation, and vocabulary, reflecting Ireland’s rich cultural heritage. While primarily spoken in certain regions and communities, it also enjoys official status in education, media, and Government, and is actively promoted to preserve Ireland’s linguistic and cultural identity.
