GAD-7 Scale
The GAD-7 Scale is a brief questionnaire used by healthcare professionals to assess the severity of generalized anxiety disorder symptoms. It consists of seven questions that ask about common anxiety experiences over the past two weeks, such as feeling nervous, uncontrollable worry, or trouble relaxing. Each question is scored from 0 (not at all) to 3 (nearly every day), and the total score helps determine how severe the anxiety is—ranging from minimal to severe. It’s a useful tool for identifying anxiety levels and guiding treatment decisions.
