Göktürks
The Göktürks, also known as the Turkic Khaganate, were a powerful nomadic confederation of Turkic peoples that emerged in Central Asia around the 6th century. They established one of the first known Turkic states, controlling vast territories across Eurasian steppe regions. Known for their skilled horseback riding and military prowess, they played a significant role in regional trade, culture, and geopolitics, especially connecting China and the West along the Silk Road. Their legacy includes influencing later Turkic peoples and shaping the history of Central Asia before declining in the 8th century.
