G acceleration

G acceleration, or "g-force," measures the force of acceleration relative to Earth's gravity. It indicates how much extra force you experience when an object speeds up, slows down, or turns sharply. For example, riding a fast roller coaster or a fighter jet during sharp turns can produce several g's, making you feel heavier. One g is equivalent to the normal force of gravity on your body when standing on Earth. Higher g-forces increase the stress on your body and equipment, requiring special designs and precautions to handle them safely.
