Fuzzy Rules
Fuzzy rules are a way for computers to make decisions using approximate information, similar to human reasoning. Instead of strict yes/no decisions, these rules handle vague or uncertain data by expressing conditions like “if temperature is high” or “if speed is slow.” The system then evaluates how closely the current situation matches these conditions and decides accordingly. This approach allows more flexible and realistic decision-making in complex or imprecise environments, such as adjusting a car’s climate control based on how hot it feels or managing a washing machine cycle based on how dirty clothes are.
